PhD Student

Caroline Kaicher

Caroline Kaicher is a graduate student co-advised by Dr. Laura Gwilliams and Dr. Ellen Markman. Broadly, she is interested in how language and cognition interact, and aims to use developmental cognitive neuroscience to study the trajectories and mechanisms behind such interactions in children and adults.

Caroline completed her BA in neuroscience with a minor in linguistics from Colgate University, where she worked with Dr. Spencer Kelly on the role of gestures in second-language learning. After that, she worked as a lab manager for the Kid Neuro Lab under Dr. Jessica Cantlon at Carnegie Mellon University. In this role, she studied numerical and mathematical development in children using fMRI.
